I'll drop a cruisy $1,000 on a Friday for self-care, Ryan's cut his own hair for 30 years. I grew up picking mould off church-donated pies; Ryan grew up tithing 10% in a single-income Mormon household of five kids. Two completely different money stories and a marriage with zero money fights. This week, that's not luck. It's five conversations.

Money is the #1 reason couples divorce worldwide, so Ryan and I sat down and had every money conversation most couples avoid, live and unscripted (he didn't know the questions). I sit down with my beautiful friend Anastasia, founder of Love You Well, for her very first podcast ever. And I mean ever. I took her podcast cherry and she showed up like the Queen she is, sweaty armpits and all.

At 45, Anastasia answered a knock at her door that shattered her entire life. What followed was the collapse of everything, her family, her forever home, her identity, her health. She calls it her multiplex car park of trauma, and when you hear that analogy you will never forget it. 

And then she rebuilt. All of it.

We go deep on the healing, why talk therapy failed us both, the therapy that she says saved her life, forgiveness as freedom, and the question she asked her therapist that so many of us have whispered in the dark: what if I'm just like them?

And because you know I love a business breakdown, we get into all of it: the $30k coaching mistake, the drop shipping pivot that flopped, teaching herself Meta ads at 49, going viral overnight and the supply chain nightmare she's navigating in real time, she literally problem-solved it in the car on the way to the studio. She started her business in her late forties. She just turned fifty. And she is proof that age is just a number and you can begin again no matter what your life has looked like.

Australia, we're in the embers right before the fire, and I've been saying it for a year. Today I'm breaking down where Australia's inflation, interest rates and property market actually sit, not the version they're telling us, the real one, and then I'm giving you the five financial moves I believe are the bare minimum for anyone right now, no matter your income or your mess. I took a week off podcasting. And then our entire life happened.
In the last month, Ryan and I secretly eloped in the mountains with eighteen of our most beloved humans and Three days later I went in for my second frozen embryo transfer. Ten days after that, we found out it didn't work. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, Ryan came off his bike and ruptured both his elbow tendons and went in for major surgery. And then four days later, I went in for my own surgery, a D&C, hysteroscopy, biopsy and a poppy seed flush ..because when your husband is in hospital, apparently that's the time to book yourself in too.
This episode is just us. No guest. No agenda. Just Ryan and I sitting down and catching you up on the most full on month of our lives.
We talk about the elopement, we talk about the second transfer, what was different this time, why we were so confident, the moment the symptoms disappeared and I just knew, and we talk about the science of IVF in a way I've never unpacked it before. 
And we talk about what's next. Because we have two embryos left. And we are not done.

I've been asked about this guest more times than I can count and honestly, sitting across from Brooke McIntosh in the studio today felt like a full circle moment.

Brooke is the fastest woman to run around Australia. Two hundred and four days. Tens of thousands of kilometres. For mental health. As a volunteer. (We talk about that.)

But this episode is so much bigger than the run.

We go deep, fast, which is the only way I know how to do it, and within the first few minutes we're already in addiction, family estrangement, suicide, and what it actually means to love someone enough to let them hit rock bottom. I share something I rarely talk about publicly, my brother's own journey through addiction and the moment I told my mum if she gave him one more dollar, I would walk away. Brooke shares the reality of watching her younger sister spend four years on the streets, and why going hands off was the hardest and most loving thing her family could do.

Brooke's purpose is this: create safe spaces. Decrease suicide rates. And she is absolutely, completely, unwaveringly serious about it.
