2 Embryos Down, 2 to Go: Our IVF Journey, Secret Wedding, and why we're not giving up.

I took a week off podcasting. And then our entire life happened.
In the last month, Ryan and I secretly eloped in the mountains with eighteen of our most beloved humans and Three days later I went in for my second frozen embryo transfer. Ten days after that, we found out it didn't work. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, Ryan came off his bike and ruptured both his elbow tendons and went in for major surgery. And then four days later, I went in for my own surgery, a D&C, hysteroscopy, biopsy and a poppy seed flush ..because when your husband is in hospital, apparently that's the time to book yourself in too.
This episode is just us. No guest. No agenda. Just Ryan and I sitting down and catching you up on the most full on month of our lives.
We talk about the elopement, we talk about the second transfer, what was different this time, why we were so confident, the moment the symptoms disappeared and I just knew, and we talk about the science of IVF in a way I've never unpacked it before. 
And we talk about what's next. Because we have two embryos left. And we are not done.

"You Can't Outrun Love": Brooke McIntosh on Running Around Australia, Suicide Prevention, and Coming Home to Yourself.

I've been asked about this guest more times than I can count and honestly, sitting across from Brooke McIntosh in the studio today felt like a full circle moment.

Brooke is the fastest woman to run around Australia. Two hundred and four days. Tens of thousands of kilometres. For mental health. As a volunteer. (We talk about that.)

But this episode is so much bigger than the run.

We go deep, fast, which is the only way I know how to do it, and within the first few minutes we're already in addiction, family estrangement, suicide, and what it actually means to love someone enough to let them hit rock bottom. I share something I rarely talk about publicly, my brother's own journey through addiction and the moment I told my mum if she gave him one more dollar, I would walk away. Brooke shares the reality of watching her younger sister spend four years on the streets, and why going hands off was the hardest and most loving thing her family could do.

Brooke's purpose is this: create safe spaces. Decrease suicide rates. And she is absolutely, completely, unwaveringly serious about it.

Adam Hudson is someone I've followed for nearly a decade. A retired entrepreneur, freedom maximalist and one of the most quietly courageous humans I know. He sold everything, paid millions to leave Australia and has built a life so simple and so full that he genuinely struggles to find a bad day (now), it wasn't always that way.

Gaslit, Hospitalised & Starting Again - Our Most Honest IVF Update Yet

Ryan and I have been sharing pieces of our IVF journey with you along the way, but we've never sat down and told the whole story sharing the failure moments. Start to finish. Nothing skipped, nothing softened. This is that episode.

We're talking about our first full IVF cycle. The mismanagement, the miscommunications, the wrong trigger script, being hospitalised the day after transfer, getting gaslit about my own body more times than I can count, bleeding for two weeks straight, losing our first embryo .. and everything that happened in between that we never fully unpacked on the mic until now.

We also get into why we made the call to switch doctors, what we actually found out was likely behind the failed transfer, and where we're at heading into our second transfer next month.

I want to be clear, this isn't an attack on anyone. It's our story. And after sharing online that we'd switched doctors, tens of women came forward and said thank god someone is finally telling the truth. So here it is. All of it.

If you're in IVF, have been through IVF, or have ever felt unseen or gaslit inside a medical system that's supposed to be holding you, this one is for you.

You know your body. Trust it. Use your voice. This episode is a reminder of that.
